1969-72. I was an Undergraduate at Christ's College, Cambridge where I read History. BA 1972 / MA 1976
I gained my sporting 'Cambridge Blue' in each of my years, as well as being an International Athlete.
Later I became Black Belt and Instructor in the Japanese Martial Art of Aikido
After graduating I worked in Arts Administration in the South West of England

In 1984, when I was Director I chose to leave South West Arts to become a full time freelance writer.
That is the career I have pursued to the present day, with the addition of gaining further qualifications
