                              Born in Cardiff.  My childhood was largely spent 'backstage'  in Variety Theatres, as I toured all around the UK with my father, Comedian and Entertainer, Stan Stennett MBE, who enjoyed 70 years performing in Showbuisness

B.A Hons (Cantab) 1972.   M.A (Cantab) 1975

I gained my sporting 'Cambridge Blue' against Oxford in each of my 3 years.

I was British Schools High Jump Champion and an International Athlete.

Later I  became a Black Belt ('Shodan') and an Instructor in the Japanese  Martial Arts of Aikido

After graduating  I worked in  Arts Administration in the South West of England

Over 10 years I helped to develop, and fund, a variety of regional arts policies and initiatives.

In 1984, when I was the  Director of South West Arts,  I left  to become a Freelance Writer.

 I also gained additional therapeutic qualifications  :

 Psychotherapy 

 Clinical Hypnotherapy

 Clinical Supervisor 

 Counsellor to NHS Hospital Doctors

And practised in two Complementary Health centres in Bristol
